Does TPF recommend and work with attorneys located nationwide?
Yes, we have contacts with exceptional attorneys in all 50 states. Even if you live in a rural area, we will try to find an attorney close to you. Since we always work with lead attorneys that are admitted to practice in the state the case is filed, TPF will usually be able to participate in your case!

How can TPF provide their services at no additional cost?
Our clients are never charged extra for our services because the lead attorneys we recommend have agreed to split their standard fee with us at no additional charge to you. Our fee is based on how much money you recover. So the greater your recovery the more we earn. This is one more reason why you can be sure we will always do our best to find you the best attorney for your needs and that your case is handled well. And remember our fee will never increase the amount of money the attorney you select will charge you - we guarantee it!

Will I be able to afford an exceptional attorney?
Yes. In almost all serious injury cases the attorneys are paid on a contingency fee basis – this means you will be charged a percentage of any sums the attorneys recover for you. Virtually all attorneys in each state charge the same percentage rate so exceptional attorneys usually will not be more expensive. You will not have to pay any money up front - and if your claim does not result in an award or recovery you will not be charged at all. If you do recover money you will be charged the lead attorney’s standard fee. The lead attorney will then split the standard fees they charged with TPF - so our services are effectively free to you. Our services will never add to the amount of money you may be charged - we guarantee it!

What is the difference between TPF and a “lead attorney” you will find for me?
TPF is different from almost every other law firm. We have chosen to limit our practice to only participating in cases. Sometimes this is referred to as being co-counsel. This means we work with attorneys from other law firms on every case we handle. These attorneys from other law firms take the lead in litigating your case – and thus are called lead attorneys. Lead attorneys will be in charge of actually litigating your case through our justice system and will also work with you directly. TPF doesn't replace the lead attorney and we are not in competition with the lawyers who want to serve as lead attorney. TPF participates in your case as co-counsel helping both you and the attorney you select as lead attorney. We help you by monitoring your lead attorney to make sure your case is handled properly, and by remaining by your side to answer any questions you may have. We also send you periodic update reports to make sure you are kept informed about the progress of your case. We assist your attorney by providing an objective and confidential resource for consultation about legal and strategic issues. We act as an extra security blanket of attorneys looking to prevent any mistakes and lost opportunities. Our clients benefit because we provide an additional team of lawyers at no additional cost!

Why does the value of my claim affect which attorney will take my case?
Every state has a set of Ethical and Professional Rules that governs attorneys in their practice of law. These Professional Rules usually set a maximum percentage rate of any recovery that an attorney can charge when he (or she) is billing the client on a contingency fee basis. Although the percentage may vary based on the jurisdiction and other factors, it is usually limited to 33% of what the attorney recovers for the client up until the end of trial or settlement.

Virtually all attorneys charge the maximum amount allowed by the law in their jurisdiction, regardless of the attorney’s experience, reputation and other credentials. Consequently, the best and most successful lawyers will usually only take the cases with the greatest potential recovery (i.e. the most seriously injured clients) because this is where they stand to make the most money for their time and efforts. Because TPF strives to work exclusively with exceptional attorneys, we too must limit our practice to representing only the seriously injured.

How can I tell if TPF will take my case?
You must contact us because it requires an evaluation by an attorney. Of course, our evaluation is free and without any further obligation. We encourage you to contact us for a free evaluation by an attorney. Even if we are unable to take your case we will gladly refer you to a free service in your area that can assist you in finding an attorney.

What is the minimum win/loss record of the attorney you recommend?
It is impossible to calculate the win/loss record of an attorney because in most cases there is neither a clear cut win or loss but rather a compromise based on the clients best interests. As a result, there is no reliable way to determine whether most cases are a win or a loss. Exceptional attorneys rise to prominence based on many factors. We search for attorneys who have excellent reputations in their legal community and a track record of success and satisfied clients.
